Wesley foments his racquet skills

Goa’s Table Tennis sensation would be the most appropriate adjective to portray Wesley Do Rosario. Coming from a family of table tennis players, Wesley has taken this tradition forward at a very young age with the help of Fomento Resources.His left hand while holding the table tennis racquet does all the talking. For Wesley, a student of Loyola Primary School, Margao in Goa, it all started at a tender age of five. His style of playing, his determination, perseverance and hard work helped him make a mark in this sport at a higher level. Now at nine, he is Goa state champion in the mini-cadet and cadet categories.

Wesley has won several awards in various table tennis Championships organized by the state of Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra, etc Wesley is fortunate to have his parents and his sister behind him. His father Lenie do Rosario is a well-known sportsperson since the 1980’s. His mother, Jacqueline has also been a table tennis player of repute in the past. In fact, both Lenie and Jacqueline have represented the state of Goa.

Wesley’s maternal grandfather Melanio Fernandes represented Tanzania at the international level in the sport. “I want to be like my grandpa” expresses Wesley. He has that penchant for learning and Fomento Resources wishes him well for the future and will ensure that he achieves his dream of bringing Goa into the Table Tennis global map.
