Community News 2012-01-30 08:32:21

The Rudreshwar Devasthan (Lord Shiva Temple) located at Harvalem is a sacred place for Hindus from the region of Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra. Close to this temple, is the famous Harvalem Falls where the devotees come to perform the last rites or “Pind Daan” to immerse the ashes of their near and dear ones.

Earlier, there was no infrastructure at the place and the people had to perform their rituals in the open. Fomento Resources along with the Temple Committee of Shree Rudreshwar Devasthan, Harvalem took up the project to construct a facility center, named as “Mokshadhaam” here that good amenities could be provided to the devotees. This facility consists of a reception center with four rooms along with two bathrooms and a barber room. It has place to perform the rituals and immerse the ashes in the holy water

These facilities dedicated in the name of Late Modubab Timblo, was inaugurated recently by Mr. Auduth Timblo, Chairman for Fomento Resources in presence of many dignitaries and devotees. About thousand people attended the function.
