A Call to Health

“The viable environment got me closer to my patients”. These words, shared by Dr Uday Kakodkar, who joined the Sacorda clinic as a full time health practitioner – was previously working with Chowgules at Pali. Born on 13th October 1964 at Savordem, Dr Uday completed his primary education at Our Lady of Piety School at Collem and his Higher Secondary education at Guardian Angel Higher Secondary school, Sanvordem. A professional for the past 25 years, it was a call to serve the village of Sacorda which made him give up a medical practice in Saudi Arabia and return as a doctor to the people. 

Since joining the health clinic at Sacorda – a unit supported by Fomento Resources, Dr Uday Kakodkar examines over 30 patients per day on an average. 
During his tenure as head practitioner of the Sacorda clinic, he has deployed a 24 hour ambulance service and a team of dedicated nurses.
